Thank you Sony, Thank you Jerry Ong...& others.

The photo expedition for Siem Reap, Cambodia is moulding up well and in about 2 weeks time, I will be leading a group of participants to this fabled land!

This is organised in collaboration with Sony Digital Workshop (SDW), and I'm really encouraged by the overwhelming support shown by all parties! This trip was SOLD OUT within a very short time and I'm sure that all the participants are eagerly looking forward to the trip.

Julian sharing a moment with the kids in Cambodia What is really unique about this trip compared to many others is that it contains an element of "hands-on" charity work. Participants are encouraged to make a voluntary donation of USD20, which is set aside individually for the purchase of stationery for a local school. Due to the sensitivity of handling donations, interested donors will hold on to their contributions and the donation is not collected centrally. When we arrive in Siem Reap, I'll be bringing the group to a stationery shop where Interested donors can then "convert" their contributions in return for stationery.

Talking about this innovative program, I would to extend my most sincere gratitude to Sony and Jerry Ong for their most generous contributions.  It is heartwarming to know that this trip extends beyond a photography expedition, and isn't it great to know that we could use photography as a tool to reach out to humanity in other ways?
